Cultivating Community

Want to take your love of the SoDu Farmers’ Market to the next level?

There are many ways the SoDu Farmers’ Market cultivates community, and our market fans can get involved at every step of the way. Community members are more than just neighbors who stop by on Saturdays to pick up local goodies. Our market members are friends, supporters, and our biggest fans. We hope you’ll consider getting involved and helping to cultivate the #SoDuFarmersMarket community, and grow our market to even greater heights.

Are you a student who is passionate about the local food movement? The SoDu Farmers’ Market welcomes market interns nearly every semester, from every college or university in the area! Interns assist with everything from management practices to social media analysis. Consider becoming an intern of your neighborhood farmers’ market today!

Board Members

Gifts of Growth

Farmer Foodshare

Through the Community Foodshare project, Farmer Foodshare works collaboratively with a network of local organizations like the SoDu Farmers Market to provide North Carolina grown produce, nutrition tips, and recipes to community members. You can donate directly do them at market, can contribute purchased food goods, or can even donate produce grown by your own organization to help families all across our state.

Did you know that the majority of funds our market receives come directly from our vendors? Yearly membership fees and weekly stall fees create the foundation of our market’s budget – and we are always looking for ways to grow that budget, grow our market, and grow the ways we can impact our community. These Gifts of Growth contribute directly to our children’s tent programming, help develop our SNAP and WIC outreach, and directly fund the efforts of increasing our visibility and accessibility to every member of the community.

You can become a market supporter through PayPal, or by mailing a check. Donations should include “gifts of growth” in the check memo, and can be mailed to:
