Since 2007 the South Durham Farmers’ Market has been working to help new farms and artisans grow their businesses, while providing the greater Durham community with access to some of the greatest products created in North Carolina. As our mission states, we are committed to bringing delicious and healthy food to everyone in our community. Our vendors grow in a way that sustains and enriches our local environment – and our farmers and artisan food makers are strictly located within a 50 mile radius of South Durham.
Did you know that the majority of funds our market receives come directly from our vendors? Yearly membership fees and weekly stall fees create the foundation of our market’s budget – and we are always looking for ways to grow that budget, grow our market, and grow the ways we can impact our community.
Gifts of Growth are ways that you, the community, can contribute to this growth. Through Gifts of Growth, we encourage our community members to make a direct impact on the future of the SoDu Farmers’ Market, through on-going as well as one-time donations. These donations support our children’s tent programming, help develop our SNAP and WIC outreach, and directly fund the efforts of increasing our visibility and accessibility to every member of the community.
You can become a market supporter through PayPal, or by mailing a check. Donations should include “gifts of growth” in the check memo, and can be mailed to:
