Winter hours are in effect! We are now open 9:00 – Noon!
The market is now entering it’s sixth market season! Visit our vendor page to meet the newest members of the SoDu Farmers’ Market and to learn more about them.
About The SoDu Market
We believe that everyone should have access to delicious and healthy food grown in a way that sustains and enriches our local environment – and that farmers and artisan food makers grow and create the most flavorful and nutritious foods when they are located within a 50 mile radius of South Durham.
Come on out and get to know some of Durham’s best farmers and food makers – we offer plenty of parking, breakfast coffee and pastries, local music, and our incredibly popular Kids’ Tent. Eat Local, y’all!
SDFM Accepts SNAP (and Double Bucks!)
We think everyone deserves access to healthy and nutritious food, regardless of socioeconomic status. As part of our mission, we now accept SNAP/EBT benefits in conjunction with a Double Bucks program, matching the first $10 of any SNAP purchase with an additional $10 in market tokens. Please inquire at the Market Manager’s tent each Saturday for how to participate.
No Cash on Market Day? No problem!
More and more of our vendors accept credit cards each season, all you have to do is ask. You can also purchase wooden “debit” tokens at market that will allow you to purchase items from any of our vendors. Each debit transaction costs $1.50, which helps fund our Double Bucks program. Yep, that means convenience and a good deed.
Directions to SDFM
We are located in Greenwood Commons Shopping Center, approximately 10 minutes from the Streets at Southpoint and 1 mile from the Durham South Regional Library. Greenwood Commons makes a great destination for a Saturday morning exploration of South Durham — before visiting the market, make a breakfast or brunch stop at Benetis or True Flavors Diner. Or stay a while and grab lunch from Tandoor Indian Restaurant, or one of the other many delicious restaurants within walking distance of market. And we can always recommend a pint or two from The Glass Jug.
We are located within 10 minutes of Woodcroft, Eagle’s Point, The Hills of Southpoint, Chancellor’s Ridge, Fairfield, Colvard Farms, and Parkwood – and all neighborhoods in-between.
