About The South Durham Farmers’ Market
We believe that everyone should have access to delicious and healthy food grown in a way that sustains and enriches our local environment – and that farmers and artisan food makers grow and create the most flavorful and nutritious foods when they are located within a 50 mile radius of South Durham.
Come on out and get to know some of Durham’s best farmers and food makers – we offer plenty of parking, breakfast coffee and pastries, local music, and our incredibly popular Kids’ Tent. Eat Local, y’all!
SDFM Accepts SNAP/Offers Double Bucks Program
We think everyone deserves access to healthy and nutritious food, regardless of socioeconomic status. As part of our mission, we now accept SNAP/EBT benefits in conjunction with a Double Bucks program, matching the first $10 of any SNAP purchase with an additional $10 in market tokens. Please inquire at the Market Manager’s tent each Saturday for how to participate.
No Cash on Market Day? No problem!
More and more of our vendors accept credit cards each season, all you have to do is ask. You can also purchase wooden “debit” tokens at market that will allow you to purchase items from any of our vendors. Each debit transaction costs $1.50, which helps fund our Double Bucks program. Yep, that means convenience and a good deed.
